Literature Text

It's getting ok, yes, it's getting swell.
The days get longer, it's harder to tell.
We chisel these cracks and don't bother to fill them.
And still I find statues far more cracked than I am.

I'll swallow the sun, so I can be alone.
The only one to feel it's warmth next to mine.
I'll synthesize, transform and come out all new.
And then maybe I can get away from you.

So sew up the seams and patch up the holes.
The rain drips in the bucket, it rusts up our souls.
Dew in the grass, must be six in the morning.
I curse myself for waking up without warning.

I'll swallow the sun, so I can be alone.
The only one to feel it's warmth next to mine.
You can criticize, judge me and hate what I do.
But then in the end I'll just come out all new.

I came upon a tree, sturdy and strong.
I heaved my way up it as fast as I could.
I slept amongst the branches, but couldn't stay long.
I felt my work and saw that it was good.
Or something like that.

In the last stanza, you forgot "and you look so pretty from up here"
